Not Pregnancy related (El Paso, Tx)

Yesterday was a very emotional day for us in El Paso, Tx. There was a mass shooting inside of a Walmart. He killed 20 people and injured more than 40. We hear about this in other places but when it’s in your own hometown it hurts and your heart literally breaks💔. Walmart, a place we take our families, we do our grocery shopping. We were ranked one of the safest cities and he took that from us, he drove 8 hours for a hate crime, for an evil doing. I got emotional just thinking it could have been me or my family there. If you’ve ever been to el El Paso you know it’s one of the safest and most humblest cities... He didn’t didnt break us, we have come together stronger than ever and will come up from this. I’m thankful for my family for my children and for everything I have. I ask that you keep us in your prayers, ask that that you hug your loved ones just a little tighter everyday!🙏🏼❤️

My husband is stationed here at Fort Bliss and we were just about to take our children school shopping when we got the emergency alerts on our phones that there was an active shooter. This is the Walmart that we always shop at. One of my coworkers was at the Sam’s when it happened. I work at one of the hospitals and there were so many injured the hospital wasn’t taking anymore patients because they had no more room. Such an incredibly sad day for the El Paso community.

Last year in June I was visiting my husband at Fort Bliss before his deployment. We stayed in an air bnb in El Paso, and shopped at the very same shopping center that this shooting took place. All I could do while watching the news was cry. I couldn't believe anything that I was seeing. It is truly heart breaking seeing so many people lose their lives due to unnecessary and horrific acts of violence. I'm praying for everyone who was involved and the families of those whose lives were lost. With the way this world is going, nobody ever knows if it will be their last day.
