I have tried ok cupid and I have tried a few other apps to but all the guys I end up talking to are either married men or guys that want hookups only. I want someone to cuddle that I dont have to share! But shy introvert me is probably gonna be single and sexless for a long long time... sad really

Keep trying. I met my husband on tinder. Many of my friends met their SO on dating apps too. 
Also read “why men like bitches” and “act like a lady, think like a man”. Both books changed my outlook on dating and didn’t waste my time on fboys

I'll be honest in saying you aren't alone. Guys on apps are 99% there for sex.  Also even if you state you aren't interested in hook ups some are turned on by that and see it as a challenge.  Statistically around 85% of people are lying on those apps many times about their status. I don't think the payed ones are any better!!!  No one I know has found someone that way and remained with them longer than a hookup.

Try tinder? It's easy. Free(unless it changed) You can weed out the annoying ones. 
I found my guy on Tinder and that was 3 years ago. We've been together for almost 2 years and living together for 1 year.
