We never did that. Not necessary..
She dropped a bit of weight as expected after birth, but gained it nicely again with no problems. If she hadn't gained, we would have to. But otherwise just let your baby tell you, when it's hungry.

My son is almost 1 and still wakes up once or twice to nurse at night. Granted, he is a HUGE baby. He looks like he is 3 he is so tall. So a lot of growth spurts have been happening. Plus, it keeps my supply. During the day though he easts ever 3-4 hours 6oz, and two solid snack foods. This kid is a beast and loves his food.
