Baby is here

Kim

So I was set to be induced on 8/2 at 830am. I went in and it took forever to get set up and get the meds started. They gave me a dose of I think it was cytotec to dissolve in my cheek around 1030. The doc was to come back in at 4 hours to see where I was. When she came in I was only at a 2 and the baby was still up high. So she gave me another dose that she inserted vaginally. I wasnt really feeling contractions or anything so it wasnt so bad. After the second dose I could feel some but not much. Well she came in after the next 4 hours but the baby was still up to high for her to break my water. So I ate dinner and walked around the hallway before she was to start the pitocin and get the epidural. So between 6 and 7pm we started the pitocin and the guy came to do the epidural. I started to feel numb super quick so I was happy I wasnt feeling contractions. The doc came back in a couple hours later and she could finally break my water but my cervix was off to the side so I had to lay on my side and put a peanut ball between my legs to hopefully get it back straight. I did that for another hour or so. I was starting to get annoyed it was taking so long I was hoping it wouldnt take forever. Eventually i had to call the doc in around like midnight because i was feeling the contractions and one of my legs. With my first son I felt nothing the whole time. So I assumed it halfway wore off which was horrible. So she gave me another dose which did not help at all. I started to feel the pressure in my bum so she checked me and I was ready which they didnt think would happen that quick. So I had to get in position and start pushing and kudos to all you ladies who do this naturally cuz it was hell for me lol. I was feeling everything. She said since he was big that it would probably take a couple hours to push and I was not happy about that. So I pushed and pushed and had a hard time with the breathing cuz it hurt. Then she was trying to stretch me which made me cry and I told my husband I couldn't do it anymore which obviously I had no choice. Well thank God after not even an hour of pushing he was here. Deacon Max was born on 8/3 @ 1:49am at 9lbs 6oz 21 1/2 inches long!

This is a pic of my first son and him in almost the same outfit.

Some smiles today!
