HIV from cuticle cut?

Hello! I’m really really scared and need some help, I went and got my nails done for the first time and the technician cut my nail bed too short, there was blood and I noticed the buffer being used wasn’t cleaned since the person before me. I’m crying because I’m scared I’m going to catch HIV this way. Should I worry? I’m never come back here again. I feel like the next six months are going to be hell worrying

I wouldn’t think so... someone who was HIV positive would have had to get their blood in your open wound. This is very unlikely.

Get tested, by all means, but I'd focus more on Hep C. HIV can't survive outside the body. It does on contact with air. Hep C can live on surfaces for months.

Yes, there would be a possibility, but there would have to be infected blood on the tool used on you. I don’t think it would be highly likely, I’d go get a test for peace of mind.

Usually contracting HIV involves blood getting into an open wound or through unprotected sex. I dont think you have anything to be concerned about.

Was there any blood on the buffer? It's very unlikely to catch it that way . If it's like needles then the risks are high.
