Bring diapers to hospital?

I know, dumb question, but I packed a couple diapers for my hospital bag...should I pack enough for 2 or 3 days or do they provide you with any? My son is 6 now so It's been a long time and I forget...

Ask your hospital. It's pretty standard in America that all diapers and wipes are supplied. They typically also give you kimono onesies to dress baby in so you may not even need an outfit until baby is coming home.

They provided diapers at my hospital when I had my son 5 years ago. I didn't need any diapers or wipes for my son or formula they provided that also and I even had some samples of formula to go home with!

Our hospital provides them. I packed some though just because then they are already in the diaper bag

Our hospital provides them BUT they have the worst wipes EVER! I won't bring diapers, but definitely will bring wipes, this time. Why don't you call the hospital and ask what they provide??

They provided them at my hospital and even sent me home with another unopened newborn package of diapers. I know I paid for taking them, but it was nice to have

My hospital.doesn't provide them.  You should probably check, or bring a couple of days' worth just in case.

Wow...this thread has been enlightening.

The hospital I have delivered at provides diapers and you even get to raid the Bassenette before going home.

If that is the case at your hospital, I would recommend bringing a bag for the stuff they let you take home.

Pack a few for the ride home depending on how far you are. If you've got them handy, you won't have to search for the ones from the hospital.

The hospital I went to provided cloth diapers the entire time we were there but we had to use our own diaper to take baby home in.
