It depends. If you had a c section then no. You'll be on narcotics. If you're not on narcotics they may let you. But sometimes you're on narcotics for tears from vaginal birth as well.

As long as everything goes smoothly I suppose you could, but I wouldn't want to. I was so sore I could hardly walk for a few days, I definitely wouldn't have wanted to drive. I just wanted to sleep.

I drove 3 days PP from my house to my parents 10 minutes away. Had a natural drug free birth so I didn’t see anything wrong with driving.

Usually they will ask you to have a ride home. If you’re on any sort of pain medication, obviously they will not allow it. And if there were any sort of complications, they might not allow it… Best thing you can do is call the hospital and ask the policy.
