Is this normal ??

I’m 26 weeks & 4 days and I’m at my doctor today (mind you I haven’t been to the doctor IN TWO MONTHS) and they’re not even doing an ultrasound??? Idk why they’re not checking his growth or anything ☹️ it’s really frustrating to me and I just wanna know if anyone is experiencing the same thing ?

Typically only 2 ultrasounds are done during pregnancy, otherwise they will just check the heartbeat and measure growth ☺️

They don't do ultrasounds each time. My doctor typically just measures my stomach and listens for the heartrate.

We only have ultrasounds at 12wks and 20wks unless you are a high risk pregnancy and you get growth scans from 28 weeks. I have my growth scan on the 21st as I’m classed as high risk.

My doctor does an ultrasound every visit but that is just because it is a small practice and he has one for almost every room lol my first four babies I got an ultrasound per trimester and that was it. They did measure my belly, check urine for protein, ask questions and always check fetal heartbeat though so if they aren't attempting to check on your baby I would think about either asking a shit ton of questions or finding a new doctor...

Usually you get 2 ultrasounds. One around 8weeks and another around 20weeks. And I go to the dr every 4 weeks for now (26weeks) soon it will be every 2 weeks. My dr will give another ultrasound if I go over my due date.

My OB has done an US on me because my first US was done at 7weeks to verify pregnancy with my fertility doctor then My maternal fetal medicine doctor did my 20weeks anatomy scan and I’m not having another one until 28weeks but that’s because I’m high risk. Normally if you have a normal pregnancy then you only get two US sometimes just one.

Normal! You most likely won’t get another one all pregnancy unless they are concerned about something
