Me and a good friend of mine met a guy at the same time. He and her ended up talking— but unfortunately he dogged her (emotionally manipulated her for sex).

Fast forward 2 years later, and he and I reconnect. I didn’t recognize him at first, but I eventually learned he used to talk to my friend a while back. I immediately told my friend and asked her if she was okay with me dating him. She said he wasn’t really shit— but was okay with me exploring the connection... So did.

Once he had the green light, he began pursuing me... tough.

Taking me on dates, going to church with me, reading the Bible with me... and really attempting to court me the right way. He’s met my family and I’ve met his. It feels like my soul mate. When I’d talk to him about her, he’d just say— he was a different person then. He would’ve hurt anyone back then.

Well...

This past weekend, my friend (who in a healthy relationship relationship btw) revealed to me that she can’t support my relationship. And wants to terminate it Bc of the pain that he caused (that I never knew about until just now).

1– Is she selfish for not being about to push those feelings aside (see poll) & be happy for me?

2– What should I do to save our friendship?
