Back seat in the middle is best if it will fit there. Middle seat doesn't fit well for some cars though.

I put mine i  the middle seat because i feel like it's the safest. That being said it might be harder to place it there in a car, i have a Kia Sportage so there's room for it there

Check and see where you have hooks and where manual recommends. A side with hooks (anchors) is better than middle without.

Technically the middle but it is a huge pain especially when the child gets older. I couldn’t imagine trying to put my 30lb toddler in the middle even without being pregnant. We have him on the passenger side and are putting the other car seat on the drivers side

in my husbands car it’s probably going in the middle. i’m a nanny for 2 other kids, one in a booster and kindergarten so she needs access to passenger side door for drop offs/pick ups, and the other kid is forward facing. so i’ll have the infant seat behind me, booster in the middle, convertible on the passenger side
