First period after birth, when did you start yours? Was it super heavy?

I’ll be 6 weeks Postpartum onWednesday which is when I have my checkup. I’m pretty sure I started my period yesterday. Today it’s been extremely heavier than what my periods normally are. I feel like every time I’m standing, blood just keeps coming out and it won’t stop. Is this normal??

I got a period at 7 weeks PP, but that was after starting the mini pill, so I think it had to do with that. I didn't get another period until I was 8 months PP, and I've been regular ever since. I breastfed and stopped at 6 months.

Are you breastfeeding? Most women don’t get one until they stop. After birth, did bleeding seem to stop and then this bleeding just start? If it’s been continuous since birth then still could be linked to that. I would just keep track of it anyway so you know for your record.

Mine was 8 weeks. Just the same as a pre-pregnancy period

For my period 8 weeks PP and it was heavy and had clots. It went back to normal for the next one

About 14 months PP. It was heavy for a day & light the other 3.

15 mos pp. first two days were really heavy then so light that I was hardly bleeding
