Was I pregnant ??

On Wednesday last I was 4 days late on my period with really sore boobs.i took a test and I was pregnant...2more tests and positive,went to my GP and yes she confirmed it...now bare in mind I’ve been trying for 4 years on the verge of IVF,4 failed IUI attempts and an appointment for a laparoscopy in 4 weeks,so this was great news!!! Then in Sunday I had back pain and lower abdominal pain with a light bleed...then Monday morning was a lot heavier with clots...went to A&E and the doctor done another test and said I wasn’t pregnant and doesn’t think I was at all...I’m so confused,I had to be...any other experiences of this??

Hi. First of all I’m very sorry you’re going through this. From what you said, I’m pretty sure you were indeed pregnant. False negatives happen by false positives are pretty rare. Did you test the HCG? If so, and it confirmed pregnancy, you must have had an early miscarriage. I’m not sure exactly, but if it happens really early (at around 5 weeks) I think it’s called a chemical pregnancy. There’s plenty of women here who have been through this and would be able to tell you more. Also, I’d go back to the GP and have a check up to make sure everything’s okay. Hi there hun so I have a bit of a story here but when I was 17 (2 years ago) I had unprotected sex at this timei was living in my parents house I hadn't had my period for a few months I never really kept track I was dumb didn't think I could get pregnant and didn't think anything of my period not showing up as I was very irregular not to after maybe 2 months I was outside brushing my horse I got very bad abdominal pains and felt a clog discharge I went to the toilet was bleeding there appeared to be a bloody sack and more blood (not sure if it's relevant) but before I had this happen when I would wee it felt very sickning and also burning sensations I can't explain it really and after I would pull  my pants up I would need to wee abain all to only wee a little dribble I have never told anyone about this experience except my current partner not even the person I had slept with knew I am positive this was a micarriage as I was talking to my sister in law about miscarriage as she has had quiet a few and what she discribed sounded the same
