Flagyl?

Has anyone taken flagyl while pregnant? My doctor prescribed it because I have BV and before anyone says “he wouldn’t prescribe it if it was harmful” it clearly says it on the bottle consult if you’re pregnant. I’ve heard mixed things and I’m just nervous to take it but I know I need to get rid of this infection. I’m 21+3.

Yes- they just had me wait until I was in my second trimester which you are! The risk is during 1st trimester is how my OB explained it.

Yes, I took it with my son who is a healthy 4 year old now. I had a bad case of BV and left untreated, will cause preterm labor, and other complications. The benifits weighs out the risk in this situation. I just glr off am antibiotic for this pregnancy, I'm 21 weeks. I had a bad UTI that was causing contractions. I felt I had no choice but to take it. Good luck.

If you’re not comfortable have him prescribe something else. They had me take clavamox.
