How long before it starts to work?!

So I've been taking bc pills for like 5 years and recently I skipped two days because my prescription wasn't filled. Anyway how long does it usually take for it to take affect again?

I was under the impression the it takes a week or two if you had to skip a pill.

Skipping two pills shouldn't be a problem. Read the insert on your birth control! It is full of information that is helpful (Nursing student in a pharmacology class)

My doctor said it takes anywhere from 2-12 months for it to work properly
