We had our last MFM ultrasound today at 33 weeks 4 days, he said baby is measuring 5 pounds and he is pretty sure that is an underestimate. Her head is almost two weeks ahead of her body and she is chunky everywhere you can see, she also has a head full of long hair! We are not going to be allowed to go beyond 38 weeks and he said if I start having strong contractions before then he wants me sectioned immediately as long as we are at least 36 weeks. Getting close!!

I guess I should add: not going past 38 weeks has nothing to do with baby’s size, I’m high risk with a complicated history including placental abruption, past c section, multiple losses, and several other things. I’m fully on board with my doctor because we are being as cautious as possible to make sure I get to bring this baby home and after 36 weeks very few babies end up needing the NICU.
