Tri care babies?!?

So I’m around 8 weeks Pregnant and I go through tricare and have to go to the navy hospital for all of my medical. It took me 2 days just to get a lab appointment to pee 2on another stick 2 weeks ago and then I had my intake appointment today. Now I have to wait another month before I can even have an ultrasound or hear the baby’s heartbeat... I’m stressing out because I don’t want to have to wait that long! I’ll be past 12 weeks then and my sister in law got to hear her babies heart beat at 8 weeks...Anybody military had to deal with this or is this just my hospital 😅?

That’s pretty normal even if you aren’t going through military. This is my second baby through Tricare, however with my first I had a different insurance for the first few appts. It was the same thing as Tricare would’ve been.

That’s so frustrating! I got a referral to a civilian OB so my first appointment will be 9 weeks. 12 weeks is pretty normal tho! Even not with military. There’s honestly not much to see before then but it still sucks waiting. I got a blood test the same day I called. I’m sorry you have to wait!

I had tri care with my first and I used a regular hospital. But that was 8 years ago so I'm not sure if things have changed or not.

I got seen on base at 10 weeks, but our lab has walk in pregnancy tests 😬 i hope it gets better for you!
