I've been getting cramps and my favourite food tastes horrible been happening for about two weeks, which was two weeks ago I had sex and got the needle two weeks around the same time having sex...

Plus I've been sleeping more then normal.

First off you can get pregnant with ANY birth control (unless it's complete absitance) that's why they say 99% effective. Because there will always be a 1% chance. So yes you can get preg off depo. But it's very unlikely! Here is a chart with the effectiveness of each BC. The depo is more effective than the pill or condoms. But not as effective as IUDs or inplants. But with all you run a risk of pregnancy. Hope this helped.

It depends on when you got the shot. If this is your first round and you were in your period when it happened the shot takes immediate effect, but if you weren't it takes 7 days for the shot to kick in. It is important to use alternate forms of bc during this time because you are still fertile. The shot can mimic pregnancy symptoms, if you are really worried just take a pregnancy test to ease your mind.
