New stretch marks after birth?

I had my baby almost five weeks ago. I considered myself lucky because I only got stretch marks on my boobs. Well today I go to get in the shower and I have some angry purpleish ones on my stomach and thighs. Has this happened to anyone else? I guess I didn’t realize you could get them this late after giving birth. Side note in case it matters I gained 40 pounds and have lost 30 of it.

Stretch marks don’t just occur when you’re stretching the skin. It’s cause by stretching, losing, gaining, losing, and so on. In high school I went from a size 7, to a 12, to a 5, to a 10, to a 14. After high school I got down to a size 3. I have millions of them, and having three babies has made that worse.

🙋🏼‍♀️Totally happend to me didnt have one stretch mark and i gained 65lbs. Day after i gave birth I noticed my stomach and hips were covered in them 😭

I got them on the inside of thighs... so random after i had my daughter.
