Get super annoyed by drunks when pregnant? My SIL is an alcoholic. We got along great until about 2 weeks ago when I asked her to do a mental health check on my husband because he’d barely talk to me and was fading as a family man. We have full custody of my step kids but they had just gotten back from their once a year with their mom and he was spending no time with them either. The mental health check is nothing new. She is his best friend and she used to do them on her own all the time after he got out of serving 8 years in military and his divorce and struggles with PTSD that comes in waves. His sister lives about 8 hours away and it got to the point last fall she had me hide the guns from him because he has been suicidal before me.

So she got pissed off I asked her to do a mental health check. I’ve always gone to her because she knows him better than my friends and I stick to my mental health with my friends because I don’t want them thinking bad of him.

Then tonight she randomly goes off on one of my Facebook posts with her best friend that I don’t even know but she requested me and I added her. And then she DMs me that she gets her period twice a month now and she wasn’t trying to be a bitch on my post but she works for the Board of Education and Department of Transportation. Girl, you work for the parts department at Napa. Fucking chill. So I stopped replying to her so I didn’t say something that would hurt her feelings or his. She gave up her NINE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER over the summer because “#singlemomstruggle” which I was a single mom for four years before meeting him and never did I give my child up. She’s been single since beginning of the year, and sent her halfway across country and now she’s drunk called my husband 8 times tonight talking about his past girls and shit.

My husband doesn’t drink because of his PTSD and he lost a liking for the taste...
