Misoprostal & miscarriage

After realizing we had a missed miscarriage at 9.5 weeks on July 9th we opted to use misoprostal to start the miscarriage process two days later. Within 12 hours, it started and heavy bleeding and tissue was passed. After about a week or so it turned to light brown spotting and really only required a thin pantyliner. This went on for several days. Now at almost four weeks, the blood is red, thick and passing tissue again. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this still the miscarriage or my period?
