Breastfeeding after the fact

Natosha • 💙J2015 💜N2019
Ok so my son will be a month old on wednesday. I switched to formula when he was 4 days old. I regret it so much but I had to. So I've noticed that my breasts still leak a little bit it's mostly clear. My question is would I still be able to pump at this late stage? Would I even produce milk if I started now? I really want to be able to give him breast milk. If not I definitely want to try again when ever I have another. Thank you.

Try pumping a few times a day and fenugreek capsules are great for milk production.People have relacted many months after stopping it just takes a lot of dedication.Good luck

Contact a lactation consultant. I know some people can't breastfeed at first or have to stop for various reasons and can start with appropriate intervention. But I think you'll definitely need knowledgable guidance especially to help your baby latch appropriately. Good luck!

Thank you. My plan would be to pump and bottle feed since he's already on bottles and he does good with them. Even to pump would be good. I'm kinda nervous though to become engorged again. It was so painful when my milk first came in.

I quit breastfeeding as well. My brother made a joke about me pumping and giving him my breast milk so he could sell it and I told him I was all dried up and it wasn't possible anymore. My mom told me that if I started pumping again or breastfeeding I would start making milk again. So you could always try!
