Sleep aid

For the most part I’m exhausted by the end of the day and am able to fall right asleep. But maybe once a week I’ll have nights where I just know I’m not going to fall asleep. I’m restless.

When I was dealing with the severe nausea in the first trimester my doctor prescribed B6 and Unisom (which to my surprise is actually an over the counter sleeping aid). So now I’m using it only on the occasional night when I struggle to sleep, but I feel guilty. Like the prolonged exposure to the sleeping aid isn’t good? I’ve convinced myself it can’t be that bad because the doctor told me to take it but the research on the medicine is actually somewhat controversial.

Anyone taking a sleeping pill or have other techniques to aid in putting themselves to bed?
