Heart palpitations
Posted on High Risk group, but thought I’d ask here, too.
Saw a cardiologist today, who is assuming palpitations are being caused by my hypothyroidism. (Levels are now normal). I am 35 weeks. They plan to put a halter heart monitor on me at 36 weeks (earliest availability they have). And it takes 1 week to collect and review results. I’m really concerned that I could go into labor (history of preterm labor and going early for all my births), and they won’t have the data/info they need to be fully prepared. I’m honestly scared of how this could effect me during labor. I’ve never had heart issues before and I’m trying not to freak out. But my cardiologist asked if they plan to induce and she looked surprised when I told her no. Wondering if I should ask my OB about this or what other questions I should ask. Anyone else experience heart palpitations or similar experience?
I have no other heart issues, Blood Pressure has been normal all pregnancy, and no diabetes. For now she just recommended no caffeine or chocolate. 👎😭 Other than that, I wait for the monitor.
