Not bonding?

I know its still early (11 weeks) but I feel like I should have bonded somewhat with the baby. Like I should feel some kind of love or something. For me it's just a human growing... that's it. It's a little concerning since I've always heard women saying how much they love their baby right away etc. Anyone experience the same thing?

Some women dont bond with their babies for months after its born. It's ok. Wait and give it time.

That is normal. Different moms bond at different times. For some it is right away. Some when they hear the heart beat or see baby on the first ultrasound, or when they feel the first kicks. For others it's not till they hold their baby for the first time.

I’m honestly so glad I see that someone else feels this way. Like I’ve wanted to be a mom my whole life. That’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted and I was super excited to find out and I feel like I’m still excited but I don’t feel this like deep attachment to my baby yet. I’m 11+3 weeks and I’m like when I am I going to feel that deep bond? I think maybe I’ve felt so crummy so far maybe it’s just enough to distract in some way? And I’ve been so stressed about telling my family. Any time I talk to my mom about her pregnancy’s she talks about how connected and immediate fulfilled she felt when she became pregnant. And she had horrible nausea with my sister throughout pregnancy and she talks about how she didn’t even care because she was so happy to be pregnant. And I’m like is it bad that I don’t feel that? I was so miserable for the first probably 7 weeks after finding out and I feel like I’m not doing it right some how. And it just makes me want to cry because this is the only thing I’ve ever wanted and I am not as connected as I thought I would be. 😞

I didn’t until I was 30+ weeks and needed him to flip head down instead of breech. Then I started talking to him like a crazy person😅

It’s normal. I felt like I bonded with my baby from the beginning but then we found out the gender and I had a bit of gender disappointment and kind of felt that bond slip away. I’m doing my best now to get it back but it’s hard. Usually once the baby is born you’ll feel that bond. Not everyone is a fan of pregnancy. You may want children but pregnancy is tough on the body and on the mind. It can cause you to feel so many different emotions. Just roll with it and eventually everything will pan out.
