I told someone my baby will smile at me and they told me he couldn’t be because babies don’t smile socially until around 2/3 months 
(He’s 5 weeks today)

My baby boy did his first social smile at 4 weeks and would laugh! It was in response to me too. So yeah, totally possible! It’s annoying when people take milestone averages as the rule 🙄. Some babies learn things sooner and some things later and it’s totally normal!

My baby has been smiling since 3 weeks. No joke. And it wasnt gas smiles. Now he smiles ALL the time. This was at 3 weeks old

My girl started smiling at 5 weeks. It was harder to get her to at that point but she would. Now she’s 8 weeks and basically if she locks eyes with me and I talk to her she starts smiling. It’s the best 😀😀😀

Not true! My baby started smiling at me around 4-5 weeks. I think this is when baby starts seeing you. Maybe 2 months is the average. But that one is a real smile!
