Allergic to eggs?

I fed my 6 mo old baby eggs this morning and his skin around his mouth started to become red. I haven’t fed him anything new in a long time so I’m sure the reaction is from the eggs. He’s acting fine so I haven’t called the doctor. Waiting for their office to open. Anyone going though this?

Something similar to this happened to my daughter last night. She was eating “apple pumpkin” mix by beechnut. I’d added some cinnamon for a fun twist. It was the second time she’d had cinnamon. The mix also had lemon juice concentrate for preservation. She’s had lemon before because I use it to preserve avocado for her. My mom thinks it was the cinnamon. I think it could be that or the lemon juice staying on her skin too long. She didn’t have any breathing issues and the rash went away within...idk, half an hour? 15 mins?

Very typical reaction actually and a lot of babies are allergic to eggs! If the rash doesn’t subside within ten mins I would take baby in to see pedi. Either way message the doc and show pictures to see if you can try eggs again or not
