Hey gang!

After what seems like years (literally, it’s been 10 years...) of trying to find a combination pill that works for me, an unplanned pregnancy (and abortion) and going on at least 6-7 different combo birth control pills, my doc has suggested I try a mini-pill due to the terrible side effects I seem to get from combo pills, even low dose prescriptions. I’ve read that the side effects from the mini pill aren’t drastically different from estro/progest. combos and I’m a bit nervous about the 3 hour window that you have to adhere to with the mini-pill. Im very good about taking my pill (the unplanned pregnancy happened when I came OFF bc completely in an effort to balance my hormones for 60 days before trying a new prescription.) but the 3 hour window (and the fact that they are typically out of your system within 24 hours) sounds both awesome and terrifying.

If anyone’s successfully made the switch and either love it or hate the mini-pill, I’d like to know your experiences. Thanks!
