I have flat nipples that invert when my LO tries to latch. While we were still in the hospital, they gave me a nipple shield and never really worked on his latch with me. Now at one month old, we are dealing with reflux and he's almost exclusively bottle fed because he chokes and throws up unless he uses a preemie nipple. I keep trying to latch him towards the end of every feeding so he's almost full, but he has no idea how to latch to me. I'm just sad that he doesn't want my boob and prefers a bottle or the shield.
