First Prenatal Appt— Glucose Test?

Has anyone had to do a glucose test at their first appointment? 
It was the first thing they had me do when I got their today and I’m feeling a little down about it. I definitely am not/wasn’t anywhere near my goal weight when we found out I was pregnant but i thought it wouldn’t be too bad...but now I feel bummed and a little embarrassed!

They will usually do that if the glucose in the urine sample is high. That's actually how I found out I was type 2.

They did it to me in my first visit last week, I was surprised since they do this after 20+ weeks.

I had one early on at like 12 weeks, then have another one again around 26 weeks my doctor said. I get the paperwork for my next one at my next visit. I passed my first one 🤷‍♀️

I was told I need an early 1 hour glucose test on my next visit... this will be my second visit with an ultrasound and I’m scheduled exactly one week after my first visit
