How to make pores appear smaller?

I’ve got pretty large pores on my cheeks and nose that I’m self conscious about. I don’t wear makeup really except for eyebrows and mascara and I like to use highlighter for a glow look (Ik you should wear it cause it attracts attention to the pores but I really like it). I’ve got clear skin for the most part and i have combination skin. Any tips for making them appear smaller? I’ve heard of primer but I’ve also read you shouldn’t do that.

Instead of using makeup to hide stuff I don’t like I try to fix the problem. Some tightening clay masks could definitely help make your pores smaller! The Aztec clay mask is really good but you can try any other tightening mask. You could also use cold water on your face before getting out of the shower since hot water opens pores while cold water shrinks them.

Your dermatologist can prescribe tretinoin (retin a) and it’s a vitamin a that helps with that. I had big pores before and after using it for about 3 months, a noticed a very very noticeable improvement

I would try using Aztec clay mixed with apple cider vinegar as a mask it works really well. It brings everything to the surface of your skin so for a few days afterwards you might have some white heads
