Ferber method and breastfeeding?

Who has started the Ferber method with their babes? He usually puts himself to sleep at night after nursing but he’s still waking 2-4 times in the middle of the night

We did just under five months. Bedtime routine starts at 7 and she feeds, burp and in the room for a rock in the chair and book or song drowsy but awake and to bed at 8. She cried max 30 minutes the first night and less as it went on she sleeps 8-7 now and will put herself back to sleep if she wakes and whimpers or has a short cry
