Sweep question

My OB suggested a membrane sweep next week during my 39 week appointment. I’ve read it’s accomplished similar to how they do cervix checks with a finger, but I’m curious about the pain differential.

My cervix checks have been sort of uncomfortable but not painful. If you’ve had a sweep, does it feel like a cervix check? More painful? Less?

Obviously it will be worth it if it keeps me from being induced, just curious what to expect. Thanks!
