Hey,

So my husband and I live in another state than the one we grew up in. When we go back to visit, his mom wants to hog him. When it’s time to go visit my parents, she will try to delay it or even tell him not to sleep over there. It hurts my feelings. Especially because she likes it when her daughter and son in law come over her place. Last time she joined us and went to my parents, after trying to tell us to go the next day despite knowing my mom had others over and she cooked. So she went with us, stayed til late, then told us to come early the next morning to her place. My husband told her he cant. She told me separately to come early, told her we’ll see. The next evening we returned and she was all pissed left the house for a drive and made us feel so unwelcome. I was embarrassed. She was pissed we didnt come earlier. We never promised we would though. Its kind of toxic being in that environment and I’ve started to hate her with a passion. Shes done a lot more which I cant spend time typing out rn but its been months we didnt go back to visit and she hasnt spoken to her son lol. If u love him soooo much then why not speak in months? She confuses me
