No positive result for lh surge or progesterone

I started trying to track my ovulation and according to my CM it seems as though I ovulated. Starting on day 8 of my cycle I had watery mucus. Day 9 was thicker, more abundant, and stretchy. Day 10 was less abundant and creamy. Day 11 I'm basically dry. I tested my lh surge on day 9 , 10, 11. Last month I tested my progesterone and never had a positive result either to confirm ovulation. Basically I'm asking if I could have ovulated on day 9 or if your CM behaves this way right after your period. Im confused.
