My best friend has never gotten her period

She is 17 years old and she has never gotten her period. Is this worrisome for her? Will this affect her ability to get pregnant? Or do y’all think she’s just a late bloomer?

Edit: I should probably bring up that her mom gets cysts on her ovaries and she had to get help to get pregnant. Whatever she has, I can’t remember the name of it, it’s hereditary. Don’t know if that makes any difference.
