Supporting local businesses
I live in a small town that has a local coffee shop that has good coffee. I used to go there a lot because I enjoy the coffee and the food that they also serve. I also liked going there because I wanted to support the local business. However, the workers there tend to be rude and unwelcoming. The coffee shop has been there for YEARS, and I’ve been going there since I was in middle school (I’m 20 now). The original workers used to be so kind and welcoming, but now the “newer” workers are so stuck up. I always try to be polite, because I also work in customer service and I know how rude people can be. Recently Starbucks opened up in my town and I’ve been going there more often because the workers are so nice and I’ve become a regular there to where they remember my name and order. I feel bad for not really supporting my local coffee shop anymore.
