Accidentally called me his ex's name. How common is this? (Not during sex btw)

lol mine did it to me once on accident. We were arguing and I’m pretty sure he had a flashback. 🤣 it happens and can be an honest mistake.

My mum does this all the time and calls my step dad my dads name lol. They were together 17 years so it’s an easy mistake to make! They just laugh it off

Ugh. I did this a couple times to my man when we got together. I am just a creature of habit and it was habit to say the ex's name since we dated a while and are still friends so I still talked to and about him frequently. I still mix my husband's name and my ex's name up once in a while if I am or have been hanging with both of them- and we've been together almost 9 years now.I look at it similarly to how my mom and grandma always get mine and my siblings names confused. Sometimes the human brain is annoying. Lol.

Sometimes someone does something that reminds you of that other someone and so you call them that name on accident.. it happens... oh well. Move on. Lol

Me and my now boyfriend, Chris, had only been on maybe two or three dates and we hadn’t agreed to be exclusive. We’d instantly clicked but I was invited for a drink by another guy, Sam, which I went along too just to be sure and I called him Chris casually in conversation accidentally. I knew then, who I wanted.

It happens.

I've called my boyfriend the wrong name. Sometimes I'll be texting my friends and talking to him at the same time and I'm like "hey, Jess" and I'm like whoops I'm texting Jess didn't mean to say that 😂

I’ve called my baby daddy by a friends name not even an ex. It’s normal. My mom just says that that particular person was talking/thinking about you at that moment lol. It’s common. I wouldn’t stress it unless it happens way to often
