Just simply proud of myself

Sorry for the long post.

I am super proud of myself. I am down 21 lbs from April (when I started fasting) but a total of -7.5 lbs since finding out I’m pregnant. I haven’t been fasting while pregnant due to no good studies on this while pregnant. I have been trying hard to eat more healthy. When I want to eat something not ideal or unhealthy I ask myself is this really worth it? Do I really want this? If any answer is no I put the item down and drink some water (most of the time wanting something to eat is wanting to eat out of boredom) if I say yes to any of those questions I eat the item without feeling guilty. Sometimes our pregnancy cravings just need to happen.

I have implemented these 2 questions in my daily eating habits. It has done wonders for me.

With my first pregnancy I ate whatever whenever I wanted. I ate all the time typically every 2 hours including waking up at night to eat. I was “eating for two” I had gained 64lbs. I thought to myself oh I’ll lose the weight and bounce back. It will be easy. I never got back to pregnancy weight. In fact I started to gain weight within a year of having my baby.

In April I was 228lbs the heaviest I have ever been. With the guidance of my Dr. I have been able to continue to lose weight while pregnant and continue to work towards my goals. Again, just so proud of myself. Here is to another 24ish weeks of healthy pregnancy lifestyle. And of course continuing after babe is born.
