Weaning off the boob

I want to stop breastfeeding my daughter when she is around 12 months, currently she is 8 months old and I’ve heard you need to start early because its easier to do it slowly rather than cold turkey.

How early should I start dropping feeds?

I still plan to pump for a few months past 12 months if needed to avoid giving her formula (nothing against formula, I just want her to have my milk), and she takes my milk in a bottle no problem.

Any tips? Tell me what worked for you.

Also, if anyone has any advice on drying up milk as well please comment. Thank you😋
