No,Metformin helps your insulin. Not sure if it’s true but i heard once your insulin is in normal range it can help your other hormones regulate and then ovulate (don’t know if thats true) . I started taking metformin and thyroid medicine (I have Hypothyroidism) 8 months ago and my cycles became more normal and got pregnant (i was ttc in total of 3 years) . Good luck

Yes it helps induce ovulation... I know this for 2 reasons, 1 it says it on the side effects and 2 my friend ovulated and got pregnant her first month taking it :)

No.  It causes your body to be able to use the insulin it creates.  
I've been in metformin for years and I still don't ovulate.
