Well it finally happened. I found out two weeks ago that my baby had stopped growing and this past Monday it was confirmed. I had a missed miscarriage. I had scheduled a d&c and changed my mind and opted to try with the misoprostol. Took my first dose this morning around 6 am and needed a second dose around 2 since it wasn’t working. Well, the 2nd dose worked and I was cramping pretty bad for about 4 hours or so. Went to the bathroom and I felt the sac leave my body. With trembling hands, I got it out so I could make sure it was the right thing and complete. Dr confirmed it was and that the medication worked. This was an extremely traumatic experience but I am hoping I can now move on and have some closure on this really awful event in my life. 😢
