Should i take my Breast pump to the hospital? 🤔

Debating on if I should take my breast pump to the hospital? Not to use but for the Lactation consultant to see and maybe show me something I don’t know and make sure I’m using the right size flanges?

I brought mine and had my LC show me how to use it. I used it one time in the hospital (fed baby with syringe) so that I could be comfortable with it once I decided to use it again at a later date. It also gave my sore nips a mini breaks... I felt more confident afterwards when I used my pump again a month later ☺️

I used a hospital pump when my son had to stay under the blue light for jaundice an extra two nights. I don’t see a reason to bring your personal one to the hospital when they have better options usually already there. You could always talk to the LC about the flange size you need.. but honestly it is best to get nursing down first and then look for the right size.. my nipples changed a bit in the first weeks of nursing with both of my babies

They have me a kit and let me use a pump at the hospital. Have her check the flange size for sure 😁

I did and am so glad I decided to. I ended up exclusively pumping and the lactation consultant showed me how to put everything together and made sure I knew what I was doing.
