Does the semen sample have to be provided the same day as egg retrieval?

I am just trying to work out the logistics as I’m travelling quite a distance to my IVF clinic and my husband works long hours. Thanks

You can do a sample in advance and freeze it, but ideally fresh the same day is best

He can provide early and freeze but you must have a driver on the day of so you will need him or someone else with you.

We were never offered to freeze a sample, not that we would have.  We got a hotel room near the facility the night before retrieval and did the sample collection in the hotel before we went in for retrieval.  We just had to have it there within an hour of collection.
