I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what could cause this change in behavior.

Our dog is always super lovable, but he is more so my husband's dog. If my husband is around, our dog wants nothing to do with me unless my husband is busy and refusing to give him attention.

Well over the last couple weeks, he has been choosing me over my husband. At night, he is constantly snuggled up with me, he won't leave my side. Usually he would cuddle with my husband. When I get up in the morning and go to watch TV in the living room, he comes with me. Usually he would stay in bed with my husband. The list goes on.

He is otherwise acting completely normal. He is eating and running around playing as usual. Nothing has changed with me either. I know dogs pick up on things like when their human is sick, upset, pregnant, etc. But nothing is going on with either myself nor my husband to cause this change.

Any ideas? I mean, I'm not complaining, I am loving the extra snuggles, but I'm curious why the sudden change. We have had him since he was a puppy and he's almost 5. This just isn't like him.
