Pill delaying period?

i started the pill this month and my period is 3 days late which never happens. I recently had a miscarriage in july so could that be why or is it the pill causing it? 
Also if i don’t take the colour pills does that mean my period won’t come at all?

So if you don’t take the placebo pills it could make it so you don’t have a period or just delay it a few days it depends on your body and the brand of pill you are on!

Read your pamphlet.  Usually the last row of pills are a different color (placebo or sugar pills) and your period will come that week. If it is not that week yet you aren’t actually “late”. It’s not supposed to come yet. And yes if you skip the placebo pills and move straight on to your next pack of normal pills your period will not come at all.
