MEPS?!

My husband is getting back into the ARMY, I was wondering would my 7 month old and I be able to join him while he’s at MEPS? The reason I ask is because I would love to be there when he swears in... does anyone know how this works?

I’m pretty sure you can be there for the swearing in ceremony, but not sure you can stay after.

You can’t stay in the room with him at the hotel, if that’s what your asking, but you can get a separate room. You can also wait until the next day and come to meps and wait for him to complete his physical then be in the room for swear in. The first day is extremely long and most family it’s out of the first day and comes to the shopping day of the soldier. He’ll swear in again that day before he leaves. Hope this helps.

You be able to be present for the swear in. 
If he’s going reserves you’ll want to be present because he’ll only get the one sweat in. If he’s going active he’ll swear in twice. The first one is into their Delayed Entry or Poole program and the second will be into the actual Army the day he goes to boot. If that’s the case the second one is easier to plan for because it’s a set date in the future.

You can’t stay or go to MEPS with him but the next day you can see him swear in. As much as it’s great to see it it’s not as important as you think. The more important swear in is after his basic training.

the first MEPS date is his initial swear in, it’s more for show because if for some reason he were to back out he would have no repercussions & it’s where he will do lots of paperwork and physcial stuff so it wouldn’t be worth hanging around till he knows when his swear in time is.. the second one is normally the day of when he will ship out which is far more important to be at to say your goodbyes
