Teagan Marie
What a crazy ride!
Teagan Marie, at 35 weeks began to surprise us. My water broke while I was laying in bed, middle of the day. My doctor was quick to action and admitted me (which was scary for so many reasons). Once admitted I was out on Magnesium to slow contractions, that I didn’t even feel, down enough to get 24 more hours with her in my belly. That was they could get two steroid shots in me to stimulate long growth. When you’re on magnesium they give you a catheter and mine irritated me so much on top of having a reaction to the magnesium so I was fed UP! Lucky for me my doctor saw that and we came off the magnesium.
July 15, around 4 am I woke up feeling nauseous. Next thing I know I’m having intense pressure. There was no build up or gradual start to the pain. I looked at my partner with concern that if I was going to labor, possible for hours, I needed pain meds. I thought there was no way I could go without some pain management so I got an IV drip. But I’m not sure what if. The pressure got so bad that I told my nurse to check for her head and sure enough she was ready to come out with no one ready for her. Luckily my doctor came in quickly and within 3 contractions my tiny 4 lb 8 oz baby arrived at 6:35 in the morning. With the timing of her coming compared to the time I received pain meds was not enough to take off the edge. I count it as a natural vaginal birth with no complications!
No NICU, no compilations, just a seriously perfect baby who was ready to come into the world💕.
Here she is four weeks later!
