Moving in with Bed Bugs😷😰
My husband and I just found a new place to live. The landlord told us the previous tenant said it might have fleas. Okay, no biggie there's not much furniture here so I can treat the house while we're boxing things at our other house. The owner has 4 couches here he wants kept, a recliner, and the previous tenants left a bed because they were moving in with parents and had nowhere to put it.
I spent all week, about 8 or 9 hours a day cleaning this place. Now I dont know if it's my blood type or just a reaction to the bites but bugs are attracted to me. Anywhere I go, if there's bugs around I am going to get bit. If there were fleas in this house, I would know after that much time in the house. Not a single bite anywhere in the house. I've sat on the couches been on the floor sitting with no bites. Must not have fleas. But I still treated the house. The previous tenants werecon drugs so they must have had meth mites. (Not real bugs, some people feel like they have bugs on their skin or scratch a lot and that's what we call it.
Yesterday was the big day to move in. We got majority of our things here. We got everything we could bring in our new house. Our bed at home was not one of those things that would fit yesterdays trip. We were so excited to have most everything here that we spent the night here in the bed. I vacuumed and disinfected it the week I was here cleaning. It was a new looking bed and mattress and the people weren't here very long, so excited not thinking me, thought it would be fine until we got ours here. My husband liked the bed better than ours anyway. It was a softer mattress.
I woke up this morning COVERED in bug bites.
I do have acne but I can tell whats a bite and what is a pimple. The one behind my cheek bone is a bite.
All of these are bites.
Theyre also on my lower back and my head.
There's one on my pointer finger knuckle.
AFTER moving everything in we discovered we actually have bed bugs. My husband has no bites. I feel so stupid trusting a bed from somebody else. I know better but let my excitement get the best of me. Now all of our clean, uninfested things are in this house.
I have been bitten by bed bugs before from staying in a spare bed of a friends so as soon as I got up I knew that's what it was..
They didn't have fleas in this house, they were getting eaten up by bed bugs!!
Update: For those of you not paying attention, as stated above BEFORE moving in we flea bombed the house. We're currently staying with my mother in law until the bugs are taken care of. He is harrassing us about getting water an power turned on but my husband made it VERY clear to him we will not be doing anything further to the house until it's treated.
