So I had my baby about a couple days ago & he literally came out the womb with long , jagged fingernails. He keeps scratching his face over and over so I decided to put him in those onesies with the mittens... he ended up over heating twice (which scared the living mess out of me because the house was on freeze but his father is also ...”warm blooded”? I guess i should say , so it’s not reallllyyy a surprise, but it just scared me.) so I decided to keep him in short sleeves (just put him in a blanket whenever he gets cold & keep socks and a hat on him) and I decided to cut and file his nails. He still has marks on his face from scratching his face when I don’t look (I guess when he’s sleeping🥴) and what hurts worse is sometimes I catch him scratching and digging his fingernails into his eyes. Sometimes his eye would just be shut (one eye) and I would just automatically know and his eyes are so large and beautiful , it hurts. Any mother out there - just imagine the pain💔

I cut once and filed twice but he digs from the top so the scratches are like somewhat inevitable it seems to me.. is there ANYTHING I could do? I’ll try anything at this point. I really don’t want him to damage his eyes or have an eye infection.
