Feeling so down and disappointed tonight. I feel like my husbands family doesn’t really even care that we’re pregnant. My due date is in a week and this entire pregnancy none have them have ever checked in to see how we are doing, haven’t come to any showers, nothing. This is the first baby on his side so I figured they’d be more excited, but it seems that it’s the least of their worries. But I know they will be busting down the door to see us the second he is born. I can’t stand that. If you aren’t present during the pregnancy, I don’t want you present for his birth.

I can’t talk to my husband about it either because he gets so defensive when it comes to his family. I feel like he will always pick their side. I hate how I feel right now. I just want someone other than me and my husband excited that we will be welcoming our son into the world very soon 😞
